Panels
Sharing your passion and showcasing your skill.
Panels
We welcome almost any sort of panel. Whether it be Sonic related or not, we’re happy to hear what you’ve got in mind. Our community thrives on creativity, so any way to express that and share with others is encouraged.
Panel Rooms
SONIC NEON has two primary panel rooms and main stage. The panel rooms can be set up in workshop, meet and greet, or theater style, but will be default to theater style.
Panel Rooms 1 & 2
Panel Rooms 1 & 2 seat approximately 75 people with a basic theater setup, 50 people for a workshop, or 100 for a meet and greet/socializing. They are set up as theater unless otherwise specified.
Main Stage
Main Stage can seat up to 750 people theater style. This will be reserved for very large, high-profile panels or stage performances.
When choosing which panel room you’d like, please keep in mind that Panel Room 2 is right beside the console gaming area. There may be some sound bleed through the wall, so it is best for panels that don’t mind a little noise to the side. Panel Room 1 would be best for more quiet events.
Most panels will be 1 hour, but they can be as short as 30 minutes or as long as 2 hours (depending on how many panel requests we receive).
Panel Applications
Panel applications will go live in January 2025 and will remain open until March.
Please note that we are unable to provide complimentary badges to panelists.
Rules
- You must be registered for SNS in order to present or attend any panels. You also must be registered in order to apply, but you do not have to pay for your registration to apply for a panel. Upon acceptance of your panel you must have paid for your registration.
- If your registration is not paid within 30 days of the convention, your (approved) panel risks being canceled. We will provide you with reminders. If you need more time to pay, that is fine, but you must notify us in writing of this so we can keep track.
- No sales or collection/donation of money. The only exception is if it is pre-approved and the funds will be donated toward our chosen partner charity for the event. Please make sure to specify in your application if you plan to utilize charitable donations.
- All SNS policies are expected to be acknowledged and followed at panels. You may read our policies at this link.
- You are expected to be on-time for your panel, and you agree to not have your panel run over time out of respect of other panels that may follow yours. Your check-in and check-out times will be provided to you no later than 2 weeks before the convention.
- Please notify con staff as soon as possible if you are unable to make your scheduled time or need to cancel for any reason. We will do our best to accommodate any schedule adjustments, but can not guarantee rescheduling of an event. We will not reschedule any events to someone who is a “no-show”.
