Available Opportunities / Positions

Art & Illustration

Looking for up to 5 artists to help create a fun, cohesive environment. Art will range from individual character illustrations for display to posters. Expect firm deadlines. Please submit a portfolio with your application for review.

Registration

*NDA REQUIRED* Help with registration, scanning IDs, printing badge labels, and providing guests with their registration benefits.

Marketing & Advertising

Looking for 2-3 individuals that can help create things like social media graphics, advertisements, and help with social media management/responses. Please submit a portfolio with your application for review.

Chaos Crowd Control

We will need a small team of individuals to assist with line and queue management, directing attendees to specific areas and events, and ensuring that hallways and walkways remain clear and accessible.

Audio Visual

We will need at least a dozen AV volunteers! Expect 1-2 hour shifts for most needs, but some may be as long as 4 hours. Want to experiment with AV but have no experience? Not to worry. As long as you’re eager to learn, we’re eager to have you!

Con Store

Responsible for helping attendees select and purchase items from the convention’s store, utilizing the con’s POS, and handling transactions. Must be good at handling money. Training on the POS is available.

Art Gallery

Need 6-8 people to tend to the art gallery during con hours. Expect 2-4 hour shifts. These people will be responsible for checking bags at the door, ensuring that all items in the gallery are protected and that no food/drink is brought into the gallery. They will also handle transactions paying for the auctioned items on Sunday.

Con Ops

DETAILS TBA.

Panel Management / Moderators

Will need a small handful of volunteers to help with panels – rearranging areas as needed, holding wireless mics to bring around to attendees who want to ask questions, and minor adjustments to volume if needed on speakers.

Accessibility

Seeking one accessibility manager to review and ensure that our setups are accessible for individuals with special and unique needs. Ideally, they will be able to assist us in obtaining at least one ASL interpreter for major panels, as well as do an on-site review during setup to ensure that all accessibility needs are addressed.

Guest Liaison

We need one to two dedicated guest liaisons to assist the guests of honor, their managers, and assistants with whatever they may need during the conference. They will be their main contact during the weekend to ensure that our guests are happy.

Logistics

We need as many available hands for load-in and load-out as possible (Thursday all day and Sunday evening, respectively). This will be a labor-intensive role involving raising pipes and drapes, moving tables and chairs, stocking the con store, hanging posters, deploying signage, and assembling racks and displays.
