The Biggest Little Sonic Con

Reno, NV • June 13-15, 2025

Information & Policies

Just clarifying a few things.

Thank you so much for your interest in our convention. We’re here for a good time and want to make sure everyone feels that way. Here are some basic, but important policies to be made aware of.

Attending

  • In order to access convention space, you must have a paid badge. Badges must be worn at all times while in the convention space.
  • This convention is taking place at a casino and resort. Please keep in mind that the casino floor is strictly 21+. If you are 21 or older, you are welcome to enjoy the gambling activities that the venue has to offer, but please be respectful of all guests and staff members of the casino.
  • No drugs, narcotics, cigarettes, or vapes (including marijuana) are allowed inside the convention space at any time. Smoking tobacco cigarettes only is permitted only on the Casino floor.
  • While there will be a Lost and Found available, the convention, staff, volunteers, and venue are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced items.
  • Outside food and drink is not permitted inside the convention space. There will be hot buffets available in the Grand Saloon as well as tables and chairs to sit at to enjoy your meal just inside the entrance to the convention space.
  • Minors the age of 15 or younger are required to be with their parent or guardian at all times. Minors that are 16 or older may be inside the convention space without a parent or guardian present so long as the parent/guardian is with them during registration and signs a waiver.
  • REMEMBER: COSTUME DOES NOT EQUAL CONSENT. Do not take photos of, touch, or hug any guest without explicit permission.

Cosplay

  • No realistic weapons, even if they have an orange cap (things like a wispon or Piko Piko Hammer are acceptable). If you’re unsure, ask! Sorry, Shadow cosplayers!
  • Masks that obscure or hide identity are not to be worn on the casino floor, but they may be worn inside the convention space. This includes mascots and fursuit heads. Please remove and carry those when you are on the casino floor.
  • Please keep all cosplays PG-13 or lower.
  • Shoes are required at the venue. If your cosplay involves not wearing shoes, you may remove them for photos, but they must be worn at all other times.
  • Please be considerate of your costume’s size, especially with oversized props and accessories (such as wings). If your suit is heavily exaggerated in one direction, it is recommended you have a handler to assist you throughout the convention space.

ZERO TOLERANCE for Harassment

It is very important to us that we are a safe space for all and that any issues that arise are addressed immediately.

The following is not tolerated, and please report to con staff right away:

  • Inappropriate or unsolicited touching
  • Stalking, following, or deliberate watching of any guest or attendee
  • Intimidation or heckling of any attendee
  • Any unwanted sexual attention
  • Sexual imagery in public areas
  • Feelings of being unwelcome by any member of the convention, whether it be attendee, staff, guest, or otherwise

If you ever feel uncomfortable for any reason at all, please seek out a staff member and we will gladly escort you to your room, car, a different area of the convention any time of day — no explanation necessary.

We will have staff posted in several places to help answer any questions you may have, as well as a phone number on the back of your badge that you can call/text during con hours to get any concerns addressed as soon as possible.

Consequences of violating harassment policy

  • If we determine you have acted inappropriately or against our policies you will be subject to the following:
    • First offense: verbal warning
    • Second offense: written warning
    • Third offense: badge revocation for the duration of the event
    • Fourth offense: permanent dismissal from event (including future years)

Hygiene & Health

Hygiene during any convention is important. Please make sure that you are bathed and wearing deodorant/antipersperant.

Remember the 6-2-1 rule: 6 hours of sleep, 2 meals, and 1 shower each day. Follow it!

Solicitation & Advertising

We get it: in order to bring attention to your events or your offerings, you have to advertise it. However, unsolicited advertising can often make guests uncomfortable. With that being said, handing out flyers or promoting events to congoers, attendees, vendors, or staff is discouraged. We will have a large poster board for guests to advertise on in the con space – please leave any and all advertisements there.

Rave & Concert

EPILEPTIC SEIZURE WARNING: The rave and concert will feature lasers and strobe effects, which may trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy. Please proceed with caution.

  • Accessible seating will be made available for both events.
  • Complimentary ear plugs will be provided upon entry to both events.
  • No food or outside beverage is allowed inside the rave or concert.
  • There will be a cash bar towards the back of the hall supplying beer and wine, custom cocktails, and soft drinks.
  • There will be a UV paint station at the back of the hall on both days operating on donations toward our partner charity, the Trevor Project. Have fun!
  • Please keep everything PG-13. This includes avoiding excessive display of skin or inappropriate clothing and decorations.
  • Drug use and being under the influence of illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Attendees found violating this rule will be asked to leave and may face further consequences including but not limited to revocation of their badge.
  • For liability reasons, entry to the rave is restricted to individuals 16 years of age and older.
